Three phase transformers can be used to step voltages up or down and to provide galvanic isolation. They can be categorised as Auto transformers and Isolation transformers. Tortech manufactures 3 phase and 1 phase transformers up to 2.5MVA and 33kV in rating. These transformers can be supplied as open or encased units.

DRY TYPE ISOLATION TRANSFORMERS:
UP TO 500kVA and 1kV
Isolation transformers can be used to provide galvanic isolation between input
and output windings. These transformers can be built with an interwinding earth screen.
This screen is effective in attenuating common mode noise present in the supply.
Isolation transformers  are commonly used for testing, centralised grid connected
PV inverter(MV Split winding transformer),UPS isolation, Railway and Defence applications.
All dry type transformers are routine tested to AS 60076.11. Special type tests such as
temperature rise and impulse tests can also be prepared. Isolation transformers can be

CAST RESIN TRANSFORMERS:
UPTO 3.5MVA AND 33kV
Cast resin Isolation transformers can be used in installations which require
a Fire rating class of F1. The transformers are designed to operate under natural
convection of air. They can also be manufactured with a cross flow fan for controlled
by the temperature controller for forced cooling to allow operation under extreme
Australian conditions. Cast resin transformer range is commonly used for Photovoltaic
grid systems, Railway and UPS isolation systems. The transformers are routine tested
for partial discharge <10pC and can also be impulse tested up to 400kV.

OIL COOLED TRANSFORMERS:
UP TO 3.5MVA AND 33kV
This transformer is an energy saving and hermetically closed oil-filled transformer
which is produced by winding a core made of nano-crystalline amorphous glass
metal ribbon. This transformer is ideal for large PV plants that work with several
central inverters which feed with maximum system yield to the medium voltage grid.
Upon request the transformer can be designed with a maximum of four low voltage windings.
The vector group Dyn5yn5 then increases up to a maximum of Dyn5yn5yn5yn5.
