On the 1st March, the Managing Director of Tortech Michael Larkin was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a presentation at an Engineers Australia conference. This presentation was on the topic of ‘Transformers: Metering, Heating and Harmonics’, where he analysed what harmonics are and the effects they have within the transformer and power grid.
This knowledge was demonstrated through different types of metering including ANSYS simulations, where his findings were validated. Michael was very proud to be invited for the third time to Engineers Australia, and was honoured to impart his experience and knowledge on this topic to other engineering professionals.
