Oil immersion provides an increased current rating of approximately 70% and greater protection for use in adverse environments. Some of the models are economical on a rating - cost basis when compared with air cooled type units, providing intermediate or increased ratings.

 

When environmental protection is needed, such as in electroplating workshops, textile mills and oil plants, the Dimmer Dot should be used in an oil immersed form.

Oil immersed units from 60 Amp 3 phase upwards, come standard with robust cooling tubes for long life protection. All our units are fitted with a bottom oil drain tap for your convenience.
