AC/DC Ferro-Resonant Power supplies:

Regulated supplies use robust ferro-resonant transformers.

These units are designed to give long life, come with a 7 year warranty, conform to AS3108 isolating transformer safety specifications and are 100% Australian made. Wherever you have the need to run security systems, PLC systems, charge battery banks or need a power supply to handle large switching transients, the CVT range is the answer. The 12V and 24V units have the ability to change the transformer tap to give either a 13.8V or 28V output for charging Batteries.

Characteristics:

Outputs of ferro-resonant transformers do not need to be fused.
Can withstand permanent short circuit or overload conditions.
Have electrostatic shielding fitted between primary and secondary windings.
Can be connected in series or parallel to increase load/voltages (limits may apply)

Unit does not require forced air cooling.
Inputs may be fused but the transformers can handle mains surges of up to 55% and absorb input transients of over 2,000V.
Due to unstable frequency it is not recommended to use these units with generators. Only use the specific frequency as any frequency changes cause a disproportionate change in output volts.
